From Sweden to Majella, a sentimental journey through Italy and its traditions. The final destination is an old farmhouse nestled on the Abruzzo hills. Timeless charm, the mountains and the sea that are sought and touched, the stones that tell a living story. An irresistible call.
A love at first sight, which grows thanks to the vision and creative flair of the architect Alberto D ’andrea. His recovery project transforms this farmhouse into a perfect summer residence, where past and future meet by connecting the thread of time.
A total custom Officine Fanesi solution embellishes the project. The combination of steel with majolica and stone creates an atmosphere that moves between rustic and industrial. The open modules enhance the pre-existing ceramics and majolica, finely recovered to pay homage to the vocation of the territory.

Love and respect for tradition, combined with the desire for functionality and modernity, create the characterizing contrast. The entire residence sees the perfect balance of elements of different nature: the lintel supports, the beams screwed and left exposed, the iron staircase to connect the living area to the sleeping area. In this stylistic context, the kitchen represents the purest essence of this coexistence.
The technical project is based on the return to the "separate modules" kitchen of ancient Italian tradition: each element designed with visible feet is self-supporting and autonomous, to idealize the concepts of cleanliness, technicality and solidity that characterize steel. This solution made it possible to insert an independent stove element in the kitchen context, a strong premise for the client.
Not only by the “tubular” effect aesthetic feet, the industrial effect is guaranteed by the absence of the backs of the elements, by the very thick visible steel shelves, by the 4 mm slim effect total steel worktop, the strength of Officine Fanesi. To complete the picture, a visible system of steel shelves, with intentionally visible fixing screws to preserve the predominance of the majolica.
In this privileged part of Abruzzo, we have taken care of every architectural aspect: from the preliminary phase to the structural consolidation, up to the definition of the interior design.
Always with a view to the recovery of the existing material, to be enhanced in contrast with modern elements. collaboration with Officine Fanesi was born from the desire to create something unique, to amaze a demanding and passionate customer of beauty. The total steel of the kitchen creates an aesthetic contrast with the blue tiles made and glazed by hand. The care of every detail in steel it binds to the maniacal recovery of the stone, in a stylistic harmony that passes the test of time.
